Saturday night peacekeeping

Posted by adiamondinsunlight on June 8, 2008

H and I were in the car last night, chatting as we drove up to his parents’ house, when suddenly H interrupted himself.

Hang on, he said to me. We’re about to get passed by UNIFIL.

And we were. A funny looking white truck that looked a bit like a hexagonal box on wheels tootled past us, followed by a more standard-issue SUV:

Men, you’re a little bit north of the Litani, H said as they passed us. And really, where on earth could they have been going at 10:30 on a Saturday night – Jounieh?

  1. They have probably lost their way and thought they were in Saida 😉
