Odds and Ends

I must have blarney on my mind these days. I recently came across a retired Irish UNIFIL soldier’s account of his South Lebanon post getting caught in the crossfire of an Amal/Hizbullah shoot-out, back in the summer of 1995. Its a strong story, told without affectation, and with a little twist that points to the ways in which UNIFIL gets caught in Lebanon’s political crossfire as well.
