“Your goal the sky”: Ras Beirut at day’s last light

Posted by adiamondinsunlight on March 14, 2007

My friend K arrived last week for a long term research stint in Beirut, and I am thrilled that we are living in the same city again after so long.

This afternoon I went to see K’s new apartment, a lovely top floor studio in Hamra with a stunning view of Ras Beirut and the ocean beyond.

The clocktower in the center belongs to AUB – the campus stretches over the slope leading down from Hamra/Ras Beirut to the Corniche.

I love the approach that planes take into the Beirut airport – I love seeing the shoreline, and knowing that once I can see Luna Park out the window we are almost ready to land.
